Your list stays on this device

There are no accounts and no sign-in on this website. Your replacement list, reminder preferences, theme, and similar choices are stored in this browser’s local storage until you clear them, export them, or delete items. We do not upload your personal list to our servers. Clearing site data or using another browser or device starts a new empty list unless you import a backup.

Reminders

On this website, due items are highlighted when you return. You can download a calendar file (.ics) for your list. Nothing is emailed or pushed while you are away. There is no email digest, no browser push, and no operating-system notification from the site.

If you install the Chrome extension, it copies your list into Chrome’s local extension storage so it can show an in-page reminder card on the webpage you are viewing while Chrome is open. The card is drawn on the page; it is not an OS toast. You can turn the Chrome reminder card off in the extension popup.

Chrome extension

The extension asks for storage (to keep a copy of your list), alarms (to know when something is due), scripting, and access to websites so it can inject that reminder card. It does not read, scrape, or send the content of the pages you visit. List data stays on your device. The extension does not use the Chrome notifications permission and does not show system notifications.

Messages you send

Contact support and Request an item open your own email app, addressed to whensitdue@yahoo.com, with the subject and body you typed. We use that email only to reply or to improve the catalogue — not for marketing. We keep support mail until the request is handled, then delete it within 12 months unless we need it for a legal dispute.

Amazon

Buy links go to Amazon UK and may include our Amazon Associates tag so we can earn a commission on qualifying purchases. Amazon may set its own cookies when you follow those links. See Amazon’s privacy policy. Buy controls are labelled as affiliate links (Ad). The disclosure “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases” also appears in the site footer.

Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights

We use Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous, cookieless page-view counts, and Vercel Speed Insights for anonymous page-performance data. Data is processed by Vercel using daily-hashed identifiers; we do not use either service for advertising. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in understanding how the free site is used and keeping it fast. You can object by clearing site data for this domain or using a browser extension that blocks analytics scripts. We may also record anonymous custom events (for example save_item, amazon_click, or calendar_export) that include only a product id and event name — not the full contents of your list as a profile. See Cookies and similar technologies.

Your rights (UK)

You may ask for access, correction, or erasure of personal data we hold about you (for example a support email). You can delete local list data yourself at any time, or use Settings to export or replace it. You may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. Email whensitdue@yahoo.com to exercise rights.

We do not sell your personal data.
